i was asked by the desk to take photos that could go with an article about poverty so i went to a squatters settlement near the manila times office. i actually had finished shooting when i saw these three kids on my way back to the office... they just finished sharing a small serving of rice with bits of corn... they lived in a tattered and cramped house... wall to wall it was no bigger than my outstretched arms...
I love the variety of emotions you captured here. I could see this being a daily deviation with some post work. Try photoshoping out some of the shadow around the kids. Great capture.
